One of the most recognizable mountains in the world just got a little more recognition.
Cape Town’s Table Mountain spent the weekend being ushered onto the New 7 Wonders of Nature list, with an official ceremony taking place yesterday.
The 1,086-meter (3,563 feet) mountain, which rises over Cape Town and provides panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding countryside, was voted onto the list in a 2011 poll that drew more than 100 million votes from 220 countries.
